Composer Vladimir Podgoretsky is rapidly joining the ranks of Hollywood's most dynamic young musical talents. Vladimir composed music for a comedy «Igra v Pravdu» (aka The Game of Truth) from acclaimed producer Timur Bekmambetov and his company Bazelevs (Russia) and worked as a additional music arranger with well known film composer Harry Gregson Williams on his film «Equalizer»
Vladimir has diverse educational background in filmmaking, including composing film music, writing scripts, directing short movies. All these diversity helps him to better understand film production on every level, and create music what works best with the picture.
After earning his B.A. in Conducting from the Moscow State Conservatory named for P. I. Tchaikovsky, Vladimir Podgoretsky started his professional career as a musical theater composer and conductor.
His 2007 ballet «Snow Maiden» (Snegurochka) was a huge success and continues to be regularly performed in theaters throughout Moscow. Also, Vladimir wrote film score for diverse television projects in Moscow.
After winning Fulbright scholarship, Vladimir moved to the US to study film production. He studied at the Film Scoring Master Degree program at University of North Carolina school of the Art. During his education, Vladimir audited directing and scriptwriting programs at UNCSA Film school.

In 2010 Vladimir was invited to continue his education at UCLA film scoring program in Los Angeles. After graduating from UCLA Vladimir has been working with leading composers on films such as «Rise of the Guardians», «A Single Shot», «The Eagle», «Season Of the Witch» and «Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters». He has also worked on the acclaimed video game World of Warcraft and the ABC TV series Revenge. and others.
In 2014 Vladimir has been chosen to participate at the acclaimed Moscow script-writing laboratory at the Educational Centre «KULTBURO». His film script «Misleaded» was highly valued among top professionals of the film industry.
In 2015 Vladimir wrote music fort acclaimed russian 3D animation series «Jingliks» and wrote additional music for feature anmation movie «Little from the Fishshop».
In 2016 Vladimir wrote music for popular russian TV Series about World War II Woman Commissioner. Also he just have finished writing music for the feature film Motilek (aka Butterfly) from acclaimed russian director Kostantin Hudyakov.
Also Vladimir Podgoretsky has been invited to be the artistic director and main conductor of BOW TIE ORCHESTRA. For the last 3 years Vladimir has orchestrated and recorded music with his orchestra for more then 100 composers including Garry Gregson-Williams Garry Schyman, Penka Kouneva, Neal Acree, Atli Orvarson, Nathan Furst, Marco Beltrami and many others.
